We rode the bus all night from Chachapoyas to Chiclayo. David lined us up on a sleeping bus, which costs more, but was so worth it. The seats recline way back, with leg rests, so it is like riding in a Lazy Boy chair.

The chair David is riding in reclined way back. How tired does he look here? |
We slept all the way to Chiclayo, arriving at 5:45 a.m. It was tough to get back on our feet, as we were quite groggy. We had an hour layover until the bus to Piura took off. We got on board and slept most of the three hours to Piura on a bus that was not nearly as nice. Still, it wasn’t all that bad. Once we arrived in Piura, we took a taxi to the mission office, then walked to the mission home where we met President and Sister (Hermana) Chipman. I´ll have to catch up with this later. I am so, so tired.

Bags arrive safely in Piura after our 16 hours of bus travel from Chachapoyas |
|
Sleep was only allowed in short spurts our first few days together |
|
The fact that David doesn´t quite fit on the bed here is not a problem |
